About me

Dr Nanda van der Stap – Researcher | Senior Lecturer | Intake Coordinator Master English | Curriculum Manager Master English.

I went to England at the age of 16 where I stayed for about 15 years. After completing my A-levels, I studied law and worked at a law firm for a while before moving to the US where I stayed for 6 months (Staten Island). I then moved to Liberia where my passion for teaching was born – not simply in terms of subject-content, but particularly what it means for human beings to be inspired, heard, seen, and taught.

Once back in the Netherlands I further explored my interest in education: both teaching and learning. Henceforth, I have a Master’s in Education, a Master’s in English Language & Culture, and a Master’s in Philosophy. I also have a PhD in Beta Sciences. As a perpetual learner, I am a Mindfulness Coach, and have studied Buddhist Psychology.
